New Season

Welcome!

This is my new blog.  This is the place where I will share with you my experiences, my thoughts, and my beliefs.  And whatever else I feel like sharing.  Believe it or not, I do occasionally think about things!  (Surprising, I know.)

I have tried to sustain a blog at least three separate times in my life.  This is generally the course of events:

1.  Start a blog.  Woo excited!
2.  Write deep and emotional thoughts and feelings about my life for about a week
3.  Procrastinate
4.  Post only clips of music or little snippets of poetry every two months or so
5.  Forget about the whole venture entirely for a couple of years
(Luckily for me, Blogger will delete your blog if you have been inactive for over three years.)

This pattern holds true for journals and notebooks as well.  I'm captivated by the idea of actually sitting down, capturing my thoughts, and putting them into writing, but I get so easily consumed by all the little things in my everyday life that I usually do not give myself time to reflect or think.  For the last 5 years of my life, I lived in a world so packed with learning, practicing, working, socializing, and growing that I nary had time to sleep let alone actually sit down and think!

And yet, every so often I get the writing and thinking bug.  These instances are usually the result of some major change in my life.  Something that requires more thought than the few solitary moments before sleep or whilst seated on a certain porcelain chair.  The idea is that those thoughts will go here, fully thought-out and eloquently realized through the beauty of the internet and supported by years of education in writing and vocabulary.  (or they may just end up being a rambling account of my mundane daily activities--who's to say, really).

Either way, the title of this blog, "Seasons of Change," is a reflection of the fact that I am in a time in my life where things are constantly changing.  For the better mostly, but occasionally for the worse.  Currently, it is all for the better.  Really seriously, lots of great things have been happening in my life.  BUT we are not going to get into that tonight because it is already 1:37 AM and I am tired.  Speaking of change though, as I have been typing this post, my seat has gone from this:

To this:

Not even a joke, my computer chair actually dips and sinks of its own accord until I feel like a small child sitting at the adult table at Thanksgiving who can't reach the mashed potatoes.

SO here we are again, internet-blogger-world.  A new blog, a new season, a new Tim.  Let's do this.
